Pina Colada Porridge (Oatmeal) and a Dress from Uttam Boutique

Earlier this year I had the great experience of celebrating our wedding anniversary in historic and picturesque Canterbury, England.

Going on holiday is always exciting, but it can make eating healthy harder. Here below is a nourishing and tasty little breakfast / snack I devised while away that can be made up in your hotel room.

Pina Colada Porridge (Oatmeal)


1 cup of oats (if gluten is an issue, gluten free oats may be used)

1/2 a cup of almond milk / coconut milk

1/4 cup of desiccated / shredded coconut

1/4 cup of pineapple (I bought mine ready prepared and chopped from a nearby supermarket)

1 large tablespoon of mixed nuts and seeds


Boil a kettle and pour hot water onto a bowl of oats.

Add almond /coconut milk, shredded coconut, pineapple and mixed nuts and seeds.

Uttam Boutique Dress

I chose a light, pink floral tea dress in which to travel down to the hotel in. This is from a wonderful brand called Uttam Boutique. They do wonderful, feminine prints and classic, timeless styles. I love how comfortable and easy to wear the dress is, while offering a gentle femininity and grace that is charming and endearing.
