Blood Sugar Balance: Snacks

Making healthy choices for snacks between meals is really important. However, often it is easy to reach for convenient and quick options, that are high in sugar and salt.

Making up snacks that can be enjoyed both at home and on the move, is both rewarding and fun, and doesn’t have to take a lot of time and effort. Here is a recipe for a delicious snack I have been enjoying recently, that is very filling, tasty and quick to make.

Trail Mix Supreme


1 handful of almonds

1 handful of pumpkin seeds

1 handful of cashew nuts

1 handful of desiccated coconut

1 banana chopped or 1 handful of dried dates

1 tablespoon of ground linseeds (optional – I personally love Aldi’s Harvest Morn range, which has a variety of flavours including goji berry).
